use tensioned stainless steel cables on each side of the shade to guide the bottom rail and prevent sway in breezy locations. The shade can be operated by interior or exterior manual control, or it can be motorized.
The slim guide wires disappear at a distance so this system has a very low impact on the exterior appearance of a building.
