Bottom-up shades: the solution for privacy issues
A roller shade is mounted at the bottom of the window and rolls up. This is a great
solution for windows in a public area where privacy is needed but a partial view of the sky
would be desirable. Bottom-up shades can be manufactured out of any of the fabrics that our regular top-down
shades can be. Sheer sunshade meshes, grasscloths, translucent privacy cottons, or full room-darkening blackout fabrics.

Angle-top Shades for trapezoidal windows
There are several solutions to the angle-top dilemma. Interior shades are bottom-up roller shades.
There are 4 basic options:
Soft hem - fully retractable but has a series of strings accross the top edge which roll up with
the shade and are visible when the shade is retracted.
Straight Rigid hem - a horizontal hem that is fully retractable with strings only on the outer edges, but does not cover the angled area.
Angle Rigid Hem - an angled hem that gives full coverage, but retracts only to the bottom of the angle.
Soft panels - a hemmed panel of fabric which can be mounted with velcro, grommets, snaps, or turn buttons.
Tension Rod Panel - A nonretractable panel which is mounted in the window with a rod with a spring inside that simply pushes out against frame, no brackets required, for quick installation or removal.
